About this chart
Among six large US tech companies, Amazon had the most revenue in 2025 at $716.9 billion, ahead of Apple ($416.2 billion) and Alphabet ($402.8 billion). Amazon first out-earned Apple in 2019, $280.5 billion to $260.2 billion. Apple led in every earlier year, including 2018, when it had $265.6 billion against Amazon's $232.9 billion. The series is annual revenue from 10-K filings for Amazon, Apple, Alphabet, Microsoft, Meta and NVIDIA.
Fiscal years differ. Amazon, Alphabet and Meta use calendar years, Apple ends in late September, Microsoft in June and NVIDIA in late January, so NVIDIA's 2025 column is its fiscal 2026. On that basis NVIDIA grew from $3.5 billion in fiscal 2011 to $215.9 billion and finished just ahead of Meta, which passed $200 billion in 2025. Samsung, TSMC and Tencent are excluded because they file outside the 10-K system.
The data
Source: U.S. SEC EDGAR XBRL company facts (10-K annual revenue) for Amazon, Apple, Alphabet, Microsoft, Meta, NVIDIA. Retrieved November 4, 2026. Fiscal years as reported: Amazon, Alphabet and Meta use calendar years; Apple's fiscal year ends in late September; Microsoft's in June; NVIDIA's in late January (labelled by the calendar year in which most of the fiscal year falls, so NVIDIA 2025 = FY2026, Feb 2025-Jan 2026). Alphabet (Google) is blank before 2013 because its XBRL history in these filings starts there. Ends at 2025 so every company has a full year; later fiscal years already reported are Microsoft FY2026 ($331.8B) and Apple FY2026 ($478.8B). Only six US companies shown; Samsung, TSMC, Tencent etc. file outside the 10-K system and are excluded.
