MakeYourChart

Turn data into a video, no code required

Data animation used to mean Python scripts, D3 or After Effects. Here you paste a table and get a finished data visualization video, rendered frame by frame in your browser.

No signup to start · Free 720p export · Pro $11.99/month

What you can animate

  • Rankings that change over time (bar and column races)
  • Trends and comparisons (line races)
  • Shares of a whole (donut races)
  • Any time series with up to hundreds of dates and dozens of items

From table to video

  1. Paste or upload a CSV. Gaps are filled smoothly and numbers can include $, %, commas or K/M/B.
  2. Pick the chart type, theme, font and format.
  3. Add a title, captions and source.
  4. Export an MP4 at 720p free, or 1080p and 4K at up to 60 fps on Pro.

Why render in the browser

There's no upload and no render queue: the video is encoded on your own device, usually in seconds. Your data never leaves your computer, which matters for internal numbers.

Need the data first? The templates library includes dozens of sourced datasets (population, GDP, energy, sports records) you can start from.

Frequently asked questions

What file formats can I import?

CSV, TSV and plain text, or paste cells straight from Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers.

Do I need to code?

No. If you want to code, Python's bar_chart_race library and D3 are good options; see our Python guide for a comparison.

Is it free?

Yes. You can build, preview and export 720p videos with a small watermark for free, no account needed. Pro is $11.99 a month and swaps our watermark for your logo, adds 1080p and 4K, 60 fps and music. Pro + AI is $19.99 a month and adds AI cleanup for messy data.

Do you upload my data?

No. Charts render and encode entirely in your browser, so your spreadsheet never leaves your device. The only exception is Fix it with AI, which you choose to use for very messy text. That's also why exports take seconds instead of waiting in a render queue.
