What the data shows
- In 2026, Apple ranks #1 with 29.2%, ahead of Samsung (20.3%) and Xiaomi (9.8%).
- Back in 2011, Nokia was #1 with 35.6%.
- The top spot changed hands 3 times: Apple in 2013, Samsung in 2014 and Apple in 2022.
- Biggest climber: Xiaomi, from #10 in 2013 to #3 in 2026.
- Xiaomi, Vivo and Oppo weren't on the board in 2011 but are in the top 5 by 2026.
About this chart
In 2010 Nokia and BlackBerry still ruled. Within a few years Apple and Samsung had split the market between them, with Chinese brands like Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo and Vivo rising behind.
Shares are StatCounter's estimates of web traffic by phone maker, a proxy for phones in use rather than phones sold.
