What people use it for

  • Weekly or monthly sales leaderboards
  • Fundraising and charity challenges by team
  • Fantasy football and office sweepstakes standings
  • Step challenges, reading challenges and classroom points
  • Creator or channel growth shoot-outs

How to make a leaderboard

  1. Put one column per person or team and one row per week, round or day. Use running totals so the bars only grow.
  2. Paste it into the editor and choose Column race (vertical) or Bar race (horizontal, better for long names).
  3. Add a prefix like $ and a headline for the end card, such as 'Who's buying lunch?'.
  4. Export a 16:9 video for a TV or Slack, or 9:16 for a phone.

Make it land

  • Add photos or logos to each bar so people spot themselves instantly.
  • Drop a caption at the moment someone takes the lead.
  • Keep it short: 15 to 25 seconds is plenty for an internal update.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need running totals?

For a classic leaderboard, yes: each row should be the total so far. If your sheet has weekly amounts, add a running-total column in your spreadsheet first.

What data format do I need?

Any table works. Put dates down the first column and one column per item, or put items down the first column and dates across the top row. A three-column list (date, name, value) works too. Paste straight from Excel or Google Sheets, or upload a CSV.

Is it free?

Yes. You can build, preview and export 720p videos with a small watermark for free, no account needed. Pro is $11.99 a month and swaps our watermark for your logo, adds 1080p and 4K, 60 fps and music. Pro + AI is $19.99 a month and adds AI cleanup for messy data.

Do you upload my data?

No. Charts render and encode entirely in your browser, so your spreadsheet never leaves your device. The only exception is Fix it with AI, which you choose to use for very messy text. That's also why exports take seconds instead of waiting in a render queue.
