About this chart
Netflix ended 2025 with over 325 million paid memberships, according to its fourth-quarter 2025 shareholder letter, up from 301.6 million a year earlier. The 2025 figure is a floor rather than an exact count, because the company stopped reporting subscriber numbers quarterly in 2025 and stated only the milestone. The series counts global paid streaming memberships at year-end, and the 2013 point combines domestic and international memberships.
Memberships passed 100 million in 2017 (110.6 million) and 200 million in 2020 (203.7 million). 2020 added 36.6 million, the pandemic peak, and growth then slowed to 18.2 million in 2021 and 8.9 million in 2022. It picked up again, with 29.5 million added in 2023 and 41.4 million in 2024, the biggest annual gain in the series.
