MakeYourChart

When you need a Datawrapper chart that moves

Datawrapper is one of the best tools for clean, accessible static and interactive charts, and newsrooms rely on it for good reason. What it isn't built for is animation: charts that race through time and export as video.

Frequently asked questions

Can Datawrapper make a bar chart race?

No, Datawrapper focuses on static and interactive charts rather than animations over time.

Is it free?

Yes. You can build, preview and export 720p videos with a small watermark for free, no account needed. Pro is $11.99 a month and swaps our watermark for your logo, adds 1080p and 4K, 60 fps and music. Pro + AI is $19.99 a month and adds AI cleanup for messy data.

What data format do I need?

Any table works. Put dates down the first column and one column per item, or put items down the first column and dates across the top row. A three-column list (date, name, value) works too. Paste straight from Excel or Google Sheets, or upload a CSV.
