Bayern Munich won their 34th Bundesliga title in 2025-26. They won their first in 1968-69, after 1. FC Köln took the inaugural 1963-64 title, and passed Borussia Mönchengladbach for good in 1981 after Gladbach had led with 5 titles in 1977. Bayern then won 11 straight from 2012-13 to 2022-23, a run that Bayer Leverkusen ended with their only title in 2023-24. Bayern won again in 2024-25 and 2025-26.
Outside Munich the totals are small. Borussia Dortmund have 5 titles, the last in 2011-12, and Werder Bremen have 4. Thirteen different clubs have won the Bundesliga. The chart counts titles from 1963-64 onward, labeled by the year the season ended, so pre-1963 German championships are not included.
