About this chart
Buckeye, Arizona tops the list with growth of 103.5% from 2015 to 2025, so its population more than doubled. New Braunfels, Texas is next at 74.4%, then Georgetown, Texas at 68.2% and Goodyear, Arizona at 67.6%. The ranking covers incorporated cities with at least 100,000 people, so the very fastest small towns are not shown, and the gap between first and second place is nearly 30 points.
Texas dominates the top twelve with New Braunfels, Georgetown, Conroe, Frisco and McKinney. Florida has three (Port St. Lucie at 50.8%, Fort Myers and Palm Bay) and Arizona two. Meridian, Idaho (55.0%) is the only city outside those states in the top eight. Figures are Census Bureau July 1 estimates for city limits, not metro areas, and growth compares the 2015 estimate from Vintage 2020 with the 2025 estimate from Vintage 2025. Annexations can add to city-limit growth.
